❍ Creating a Sim
There will be more customizable character options in The Sims 3 than the prior version The Sims 2. And players will have multiple choices to create their Sims since the body weight sliders are introduced in the sequel version. With the advanced mode in The Sims 3, players can customize the single features of those characters including giving them freckles, tattoos or beauty marks to the Sims.
❍ Playing Skills
Different skills can be used in this game, such as appliance upgrades, social interactions, and special songs chosen for guitar players. The basic skills contain many aspects such as Gardening, Cooking, Painting, Logic, Athletic, Fishing and much more.
The careers in The Sims 3 include Journalism, Medical, Music, Science, Business and more. Besides, the jobs here can be Investigator, Stylist, Firefighter, Designer, etc. A new feature which attracts players is that it enables them to have branching careers, which means they can choose a certain path in their career. For instance, a Sim who works on Music can also specialize in Rock or Symphonic music.
What was officially referred to worlds are the neighborhoods. Here there is a Create a World tool which allows players to use custom terrains to make their own neighborhoods. Besides, the players can explore the world outside the Sims’ homes and don’t need to face strenuous loading times.

The Building mode, one of the three modes in this game, is used mainly for architectural work and construction. In the build mode, players can do many things, such as painting walls, adding doors and windows and more. In the Buy Mode, players mainly focus on appliances and furniture.
